Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend. |
This is a wonderfully busy month for me!!! I had my workshop Personal Professional on April 1st ... and two days from now I will be getting married. Yes: ME!!! I am so happy and excited and anxious and busy!!!
Before I go away for a week of marriage bliss I'd like to post some of the photos from Personal Professional on April 1st. In my humble opinion the workshop was awesome!!! We had a small group of students who contributed so much to the class. And then an amazing photo shoot styled up by some of Knoxville's most awesome vendors beginning with Shanna Jestice of Ruffles & Rouge Events. Shanna dreamed up the color palette and theme of our session. She is so creative and innovativeand I absolutely LOVE how she took her vision and turned it into something really adorable an unique. Get ready for some serious eye-candy!
Our entire day was hosted by The Historic Mabry-Hazen House
This is Laura ... our gorgeous bride model for the day.
The inside of The Mabry Hazen House is a museum full of antiques and treasures that belonged to the original owners. Its also full of some beautiful window light and we couldn't resist a few "getting ready" images of Laura.
Laura's gorgeous gown and accessories were provided by The Gilded Gown
Leah Teague of Flourish Floral Design Studio did an amazing job on our flowers. I LOVE the colors!!!
Laura's hair and make-up were done by Jamie Walker & Heather Grasham of Bangs & Blush
Our handsome groom model (and Laura's real husband) Timothy ... looking so sharp and adorable all at once.
Squeal for bow ties!!!! The groom's attire and accessories were also provided by my wonderful friends at The Gilded Gown
What an adorable springy ceremony set-up. So happy and bright! Shanna (Ruffles & Rouge Events) used All Occasions Party Rentals for the chairs and arbor. They are so professional and helpful. And Shanna knew just how to make those sweet little chairs even more special.
These shots in the dogwood tree are my favorites of the day. Ahh ... how perfect!

You wouldn't believe what a difference a table cloth makes to the whole look. I highly recommend The White Table to anyone who plans to have even a single table at their event.
Can you believe these amazing little invitations?!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! These sweet little things were designed and provided by Erin Haines of Be True Designs
Hello delicious chicken and vegetables! If you weren't hungry when you started reading this blog post, you will be after you see these next images. This gorgeous plate of food was prepared by Rosa's Catering
Shanna (Ruffles & Rouge Events) dreamed up this carnival themed sweet treat table. And it turned out SO CUTE!!! I can not get over the colors and adorable details. Here's hoping lots of 2011 and 2012 brides will find lots of inspiration here!
We are talking about sherbet, popcorn, champagne, and gum balls. Does life get any better than this? I don't think so.
That customized champagne bottle label was also done by Miss Erin Haines with Be True Designs So CLEVER!!
