Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend. |
I am so excited to finally post this bridal session! I met Claire at a wedding that I photographed back in May. She was was doing the bride's make-up and I knew right away that I liked her. She is an incredible business woman and a very talented make-up artist. When we met to discuss her wedding I quickly went from just liking her to absolutely loving her! She has an infectious laugh, amazing style, and wonderful taste in music. When she described the idea she had for her wedding I knew I wanted to be a part of it and I am so happy and grateful that she chose me to be her photographer. I can't wait to post the wedding photos so you can see what I mean!!!
Until then ... please enjoy the photos from her bridal session!
On a very superficial level I just love everything about the way Claire looks! Her skin is so perfect. I loved the way she chose to wear her hair down with simple curls. And of course her make-up is amazing because she did it herself.
On a non-superficial level I have to say that Claire is even more beautiful on the inside. Her personality is radiant and she is just so lovely and fun to be around. I think this next set of images are magical ...
Oooh laaa ... Let me talk for a second about Claire's dress. It was hand made from scratch by the amazing Colleen with White Orchid Bridal. http://www.whiteorchidbrides.com/
If you are looking for any type of hand-made, restored-vintage, or unique wedding dress or accessory please check out White Orchid Bridal. I found Colleen's shop a year ago and I have been dying to photograph some of her stuff. Her work is so wonderful!!!
I don't often use the work "smokin" but I think its the perfect description for Claire in this next one.
I really loved photographing Claire. We had so much fun ... but Claire is just a beauty! Bridal sessions are definitely my favorite.
I love this wintery look with the fur and the evergreen tree.
We really noticed the change of season when the sun set a lot sooner than I expected it to! No worries ... a few shots under the moon aren't bad.
