I absolutely LOVE photographing this family!!! They are some of my favorites because they are not really clients they are more like friends. As a family they have such a beautiful spirit and spunk!
I will begin with a few shots of thier newest addition ... sweet Daisy. She is such a happy lady. I can't get over her face!
Perfect eye-lashes and pudgy lips.
Miss Eliza is the big sister and she is one fiesty little thing. She is the most beautiful little girl ever ... but she is SO difficult to photograph. I can say this because Kristen and Teddy (mom and dad) know its true. They apologize every time they come over for "how hard I have to work" to get photos of Eliza. She is not the kind of child that you can ask to sit still. She is definitely a mover and a shaker ... and man is she ever smart! I love the life in her ... and I think she is going to be somebody really amazing some day. How can I really say that? I don't know ... I just think so. Anyway ... Kristen and Teddy are always worried that I'm not able to get shots of their fast moving girl ... but I always manage to get something. These shots were actually taken at my house ... on my bed!
After a few fluffy bed shots at my house we made our way to Mabry Hazen House for the rest of the session.
You've probably seen me use that red chair before ... but I just love it. Kristen actually requested we use it for this session and I'm so glad she did. I think the red and the green look amazing.
Oh, Eliza ... what are you thinking about? I love her curious hands and her little dress flipped up. What a girl.

When it comes to kids I have learned that the best shots happen when it feels more like play time for them. I think the following series of images prove that to be true for Eliza.
