|Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend.|
It seems like its been a long time since I first met with Dawn and Brent. I knew from our first meeting that photographing their wedding would be fun and very relaxed. Dawn is one of the most organized people I've ever met ... I love organized people (I say that because I realize I am not really one of them)! Regardless of what she proclaims as minor "ocd" Dawn was totally relaxed and stress free on her wedding day!
I'll begin with this image of Dawn and her dad at the rehearsal. The wedding was at the beautiful 2nd Presbyterian Church. Its rare to have nice lighting inside a church sanctuary ... but see for your self!
This image is one of my favorite ring shots ever. I love that you can see the little rain drops on the window - a tiny component that just tells the story.
Dawn was a gorgeous bride. Flowers by Lisa Foster Floral Design.
I could post a very traditional photo of the groom and groomsmen looking like respectable nice young men. But I'd rather post this one ...
At the 2nd Presbyterian Church they have some rules about where I can/can't go during the ceremony. This allows me the opportunity to be in a different spot which was a nice change of pace. Instead of getting the bride coming towards me down the isle I was able to get the next three images. And I love them all.
A daytime exit with bubbles ... nice!
These two are so much fun. They had an awesome entrance to their reception at The Hilton downtown. They also had a really great local folksy/rock band called BonePony. They sang their first dance song and played an after-party. It was so cool! Check the slide show to hear their first dance song by BonePony.
Those two are always up to some crazy shenanigans! This might be one of my favorite cake shots. Hilarious!
Brent can really cut a rug!
