|Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend.|
I collaborated with some of my super favorite vendors and made some new vendor friends on this beautiful project. Our goal was to create a winter wedding inspiration with colors as rich as the history of the home where we begin our scene.
Thank you so much to Knox Heritage, not only for allowing us into this incredible staple of Knoxville's past, but also for all the hard work to preserve the history and restore the beauty of this iconic property.
The romantic story behind the house goes like this: Historic Westwood was built as a "wedding promise" in 1890 by John Edwin Lutz and his wife, Ann Adelia Armstrong Lutz.
Thanks to The Aslan Foundation, Historic Westwood was purchased and donated to the protection of Knox Heritage. It is now constantly undergoing renovation to restore the home to it's original beautyand it is quickly becoming one of Knoxville's most popular wedding and event venues.
I have included a lot of images to showcase the gorgeous details around the house. Enjoy!
These gorgeous flowers were created by Lesley of LB Floral. She dreamed up the cranberry color story with frosty silver accents to bring on the winter chill. It perfectly matched the palette of the west parlor. And I have to say that Lesley was the MVP of the day because she has an understanding of wedding details like no other ... i.e. she knew how to use a T-pin, she brought extra items like brooches, rings, and bracelets, and she stuck around for the entire shoot to make sure that not a single flower or T-pin were out of place. Her ideas are right on and most importantly, she is fun!
That stunning dress is called Eloise by Lea Ann Belter. It as well as this gorgeous Justine M. Couture hair piece were provided by Wedding Wonderland. The best place in Knoxville to find beautiful wedding gowns and accessories.
Our lovely model, Olga Loveday, was primped and fussed over by the magnificent ladies of Southern Belle Beauty. Alex and Brandalyn are the dynamic duo behind Knoxville's newest on-site cosmetology experience. They are liscensed super pros in all things beauty, and with their combined skills and positive energy they put their clients at ease and create beautiful looks to rival the red carpet.
Thanks so much for bringing this idea to life so beautifully and effortlessly!
