|Hi, I'm Julie ... artist, photographer, potter, etc. I am so happy you are here! I consider this blog my creative journal where I can share my recent work, ideas and dreams, and lots of little details about my life. Please make yourself at home. Whether you are a bride-to-be, a photographer, or just a visitor, I hope you will find inspiration here and even become a friend.|
A couple weeks ago I had the complete honor of hosting this amazing little family in my home and then photographing them the next morning. No, my photo packages don't include a bed and breakfast stay but this family will always be an exception.
The Robersons were the first family I ever photographed. Something like six years ago I did a maternity session with them ... and then little Finley was born. I did her newborn portraits when she was only four days old and documented her first year.
At the time they lived in Johnson City and I lived in Knoxville, TN. Then they moved to Memphis, I moved to Lexington, and now they live in Indiana. Sorry for the geography. I just want to express how excited I was when they contacted me to schedule a session! What an honor that they have been so faithful to me as their family photographer through all of their life changes, moves and the distance between us.
To boot, they have also begun their own photography business (their site here) so of course they are a little picky about having thier own pictures done. I happen to LOVE photographing other photographers because of the connection, respect, and creative understanding we share.
I'll just get on with the pictures now!
