I am so excited to share this beautiful wedding with you! Katie and Cory are a gorgeous couple and their wedding day was truly perfect. The entire event was coordinated by Donna Jacob who, by the way, is the most professional, kind, and on-task wedding director I have ever worked with. I absolutely love her and highly recommend her.

Katie, how did you and Cory meet? We met through a couple of mutual friends in Knoxville in September 2007.. met up in Chattanooga for our first date ten days after that. We played the long distance card for about 6 months before I decided to move to Chattanooga.

The proposal story: Since Cory was a baby, he and his family have been visiting Pawley's Island, SC every summer. I've been lucky enough to attend that annual trip a few times now, but in 2009 we took it a little later than normal. It was fall break so Cory and I were only down for the weekend. We were sitting there watching football (Gators win!) like we would do any other Saturday. Cory decided he wanted to throw the frisbee around on the beach for a while, so I followed. He kept throwing the frisbee right past me. "Hello..... I'm over here...." He finally threw it in a place to where I could see a green bottle sticking out of the sand. And.. to preface the rest of this story.. I have to say that the bottle was sticking out of the sand in front of the beach house beside ours and the people renting it were outside. So naturally, I didn't really think anything of it except for, "Hey look! They've got a message in a bottle!" Cory came to see what I was talking about and told me to open it. He chased me down to the water with it and I refused to open it because I just knew our neighbors were going to yell at us for opening their bottle. He finally convinced me and as soon as I popped out the cork it finally hit me what was going on. I pulled out the note on which Cory had written "Will you marry me?" And when I looked up from it he was down on one knee. I cried and laughed and his dad took pictures of the whole thing.

What was your favorite thing about the wedding day? The wedding day was a whirlwind. A beautiful whirlwind. I know everyone says that something usually goes wrong, but I really feel like it was as perfect as it could be. There was an amazing turn out of family and friends and it was just so nice to have both extended sides in the same place sharing the same moment. I'm just so happy to be in a marriage thats so full of love and friendship.
