I'm so excited that I get to photograph this lovely couple's wedding in August. Katy and I went to high school together ... we clogged together and played soccer together and then we lost touch in college. I love it that I get to reconnect with her at such a momentous time in her life. She is getting married this August to a really great guy - Erik. I couldn't be happier for them.
Katy lives in Cincinnati, Ohio and Erik lives in Minnesota ... so they are very well versed at the "long distance" thing. (Which is something I know a little bit about, but not to that extent!) I was really happy that they were both able to meet with me in Knoxville for a quickie engagement session at The Savage Garden in Fountain City.
I loved observing them together because I noticed that Katy is really just as joyful as she always was. And Erik manages to make her light up more than ever. Because they have survived managing their relationship over a great distance, there is something so secure about their togetherness. They are very safe together. I am looking forward to the wedding and I know they are too!
