I adore this couple!!! Rebekah and Darrell were SO much fun to photograph. They are getting married this August at Maple Lane Farm. I know it will be absolutely beautiful! Take a look at how sweet they are:





We actually did 1/2 of their engagement session at Maple Lane Farm ... and I just have to comment on what a fantastic location it is!! I can't believe all the great details ... oh how I love details!!!

I just LOVE this family! They are always so much fun to photograph. It has been so exciting to see how much the kids change each time I meet with them. I never get tired of that!

Since the last time I saw them ... Baylor has totally changed from a sweet baby to a little girl and Clay is so grown up. Its almost a little sad how quickly that happens.

Several weeks ago I met with Candra, Brian and baby Layla at the Ramsey House. Layla has changed quite a bit since her last session three months ago. She is now 9 months old and SO adorable! The weather has been so fickle the past several weeks ... but I was so happy that it was really beautiful for us this day ...

Jared and Val are a beautiful couple with a very sweet story. They have loving families and amazing friends. It was an honor to be a part of their wedding in St. Augustine. Every time I turned around there was something beautiful to photograph. It was actually a bit overwhelming - in a good way!

UGH!!! Can you believe how FAR behind I am?!!!! I am so frustrated with my progress on everything the past couple of weeks. Its just that its impossible to make progress on edited images when my schedule is full with more and more sessions plus travel. On top of it all my computer system is getting bogged bogged bogged. Welcome to May (oh, wait ... May is already half over. Of course it is.)

The good news is that I have purchased an entirely new computer system that should be in, up, and running in about 5 days. I will fly through everything once its here. Until then I am poking along here ...

I LOVE photographing on the beach! I love the texture of the sand, the ripples in the water, the motion from the wind ... etc. I really love Val and Jared! And I love how much they love each other! They were so good at loving each other ... they needed NO direction from me!

We actually did this mini-engagement session right before their rehearsal dinner. We just popped out onto St. Augustine Beach to whirl and frolic for about 15 minutes ... and these are the lovely results:

How do I love thee ... let me count the ways ...

No, seriously ... I have to give a HUGE thank you here to my friend Heather. She is awesome! I have a little history with this girl - from grade school, soccer, tap dance - the list goes on ... all the way to March of 2007 when I photographed the day that she married a man who makes her eyes sparkle.

Heather has been SO encouraging to me and supportive. She has sent me I dont even know how many referrals. One of those being Val and Jared in St. Augustine (whose bridals I just posted and whose wedding Im getting ready to post next).

I think its a good life's mantra to be good to people ... they will be good back ... and then you can be good again. I just made that up - I'll start writing my self help book this week! (kidding! as if I don't have anything else to do!) But truly ... Heather has been so good to me. So to thank her I offered to do a little session of her and Kevin in downtown St. Augustine. (I dont think Kevin really considered this an act of gratitude. No, for him having his picture taken is more like torture. But he happily endured my throws of evil posing for a brief time just to make Heather happy. He really does make her eyes sparkle!)
