Val's Bridal Session in St. Augustine

So how can I possibly choose favorites from this session?!!!!
First of all ... Val is breath taking ... second of all St. Augustine is the prettiest location I have ever photographed! It was SO overwhelming how picturesque EVERYTHING was!

Check out this girl ... seriously gorgeous and seriously photogenic ...

My mom went with me to St. Augustine. She had photographed with me a little before but we got serious this time and I gave her a mini-tutorial on manual mode and set her loose. I am SO SO SO PROUD of how awesome she did! This next one is one of her shots ...

The next pair of images were taken at the exact same moment ... see if you can guess which one I took and which one my mom took:

I also had my mom on detail patrol because St. Augustine is brimming with amazing details around every corner ... so this next bunch are my mom's details paired with my shots of Val. I love how they look together:

I do love a red door ...

I love this one because Val is totally working it!!! I think its great when my clients just let their inner super model come out. I mean how often do you get to have professional photos done? I try to encourage everyone to put their inhibitions aside and WORK IT!

We almost got kicked off of this stairway. Yeah, that is a private residence ... we didn't realize it when we "trespassed"! Wouldn't you love it if this were your front porch?

Alright ... don't hold your breath ... but I should be posting Val and Jared's mini-engagement session very soon ... to be followed by their wedding. My goal is have it all by tomorrow. We'll see if that happens - this is such a CRAZY BUSY time for me!

And one more thing ... today is the last day that you can vote for me as Knoxville's Hottest Photographer. Here is the link!

Laura, Justin, and Sophie!

I met with Laura and Justin a week or so ago to do their engagement portraits. We started at the Old City and ended up at UT Gardens. It was the most amazing spring day - perfect for taking pictures (unlike some other days that week that were totally rainy). These two are getting married in June and its going to be beautiful!

I am just going to start it off with my absolute favorite from the session ...
I think its perfect, intimate, sweet, and LOVELY! I mean doesn't this just give you that feeling like you NEED to be kissed NOW?!!!!

Inspired:

Oh, Laura and Justin brought their sweet little Sophie along as well!

As you know, I am a dog lover ... so how could I not fall head over heels for this precious face? Can you believe this adorable dog?!!

A good ring shot and some dramatic light ... these are a few of my favorite things ...

Izzy and Martin ...

The most awesome thing about photographing another photographer's wedding ... is that the pictures are the MOST important part! Because Izzy loves pretty photos ... she has been SO willing to do anything for a good shot. I couldn't ask for more! If you don't remember them ... you can click here to see Izzy's bridal session in the snow ... or you can click here to see Izzy's bridal session in Savannah.

This bridal session is a little different from those two ... because it includes the groom!! Izzy and Martin aren't actually getting married until May 9th ... but we met on a beautiful Wednesday evening to stage some beautiful photos in Savage Garden.

I LOVE Izzy and Martin's quirky style! The top hat, cane, feather hair piece ... its SO them! And so much fun to photograph!!!

I am also introducing for the first time ... the work of Lauren Blankenship. Lauren is the newest member of the Julie Roberts Photography Team. She just graduated from Virginia Intermont School of Photography and I LOVE her work! I am thrilled that she is going to be second shooting with me! The next two images were taken by Lauren ...

I think Lauren and I make a great team! The next two images were taken at the same moment ... the one on the left is Lauren's and the one on the right is mine.

I am doing something a little different with the slide show this time. Instead of a typical slide show with individual images ... I am posting the guest book design. Normally the guestbooks are created using engagement photos ... but for Izzy and Martin I am using the images from this session. Can you blame me?

Justin & Ashley - Wedding

First of all I just want to thank everyone who voted and left comments on Wtnzfox43.com. If you haven't voted yet click here!

Now on to some good stuff ...

I photographed Justin and Ashley's wedding two weeks ago on a Monday at that adorable little chapel in Dollywood. Yes! Dollywood!

Ive already posted this image ... but here it is one more time because I love it. On Sunday I went for the rehearsal.

On Monday ... I went for the wedding ...
Ashley and Justin had gone extra lengths to make sure that their wedding was free from any kinda of drama or stress that many weddings experience. They wanted to be sure that the day was totally relaxed and easy and it was exactly that. However, despite their wishes for a calm day ... there was no denying the excitement that filled the air when Ashley walked down the aisle for the first time. (PLEASE notice the Chicken Lady in the back ground. She was there to offer her chicken blessing. I do not kid.)

Ashley sings in several of the shows at Dollywood ... including the 50s show ... and Justin also works at Dollywood. So since that is how they met one another it was the perfect location for the wedding. Adorable!

Let me not forget to mention that my second shooter for the day was Brittany of BGWPhotography. She did a wonderful job! I love this next couple of images juxtaposed together. They were taken at the exact same time ... the image on the left is Brittany's and the image on the right is mine. Lovely.

This next one is one of my favorite shots of the day ... and Brittany took it!!!! Awesome Brittany!

Now that is a bride who is excited about smashing some cake ... you'll have to watch the slide show to see what happens next!

HOT HOT HOT

WTNZFox43 Is having some crazy competition for all the best businesses in town. Its been going on for several months now ... and I totally feel like the last kid to get picked for the kickball game. Im not big on competitions because Id prefer to have more of a community among my fellow photographers instead of compete with them.

But whatever ... I FINALLY got nominated. I dont know by whom ... but I appreciate it whoever you are! I think the voting ends in May ... and since thats only like a couple weeks away Im pretty sure I don't stand a chance to catching up with all the other photogs who have been getting votes and reviews for several months now.

Regardless ... I thought Id give it a shot. So here is my shameless plea ... I need an ego boost ... You can vote for me by clicking here.

I think you do have to sign up for an account but it takes seconds and they won't send you junk mail or anything. It would just be awesome if you would vote ... and super awesome if you would leave a review! I could use the ego boost!

Thanks friends!

St. Augustine

Hey everyone ...
Sorry I haven't updated this week. I think I forgot to mention that I am out of town all week shooting a wedding in St. Augustine, Florida. It is BEAUTIFUL here!

This is the bride Val ... she is SO stunning. And this is a tiny little sneak peak from her bridal session today. The rehearsal is tomorrow and the wedding will be Saturday. Much more to come when I get back and get caught up on all these blog posts!

Coming soon ... again ...

Hello blog friends! I don't know how you feel about these "coming soon" posts ... but I like them. For me, its like making a list ... and I do love making lists! They make me feel organized ...

So ... coming soon here on the blog ...

Ashley and Justin's wedding:

Izzy and Martin:

Cheyenne:

Laura, Justin, and Sophie:

Hallie & Cliff - engagements

Hallie and Cliff are so awesome! We were supposed to meet several weeks ago in Jonesboro ... but we got totally rained out. And since this time of year is crazy for me they were willing to drive all the way to Knoxville for their re-scheduled session. I feel so lucky to have the most understanding (and good looking!) clients ever!

So we decided to do a little downtown ...

This is Layla ... Cliff and Hallie's boxer. She was a wonderful model!

This image is my favorite favorite:

From downtown to the UT Gardens ... which is where I discovered this purple fence that I LOVE!

Cliff and Hallie - Thanks so much for driving all the way to Knoxville! I can not wait for your wedding in May!

Happy Easter from The Booth Family

This is lovely little Miss Eliza Mae ...

This is her gorgeous mommy and daddy ... who met me last Saturday for Eliza's six month session.

We plopped her down in the middle of some tulips ...

And giggled because playing patty cake with your feet is hilarious ...

These little moments along with the most perfect weather created the sweetest little spring day ...

And these three along with a lot of love and blessings create the sweetest little family ...

Coming this week ...

Wow - what a weekend!
I promised several people that I would have something posted today ... and by now its almost tomorrow! The season has officially begun for me - and this blog is going to be updated pretty regularly from now until probably the end of the year! Here we go!

This weekend began with this beautiful girl ... Eliza Mae and all of her fantastic easter flare ...

Personally, I think this is the perfect spring family portrait ... it just doesn't get better:

Oh, and just in case you haven't seen enough of Izzy on my blog ... you'll be seeing a little bit more of her in a few days when I post some images from her Boudoir Session. Thankfully Martin doesn't check the blog - otherwise this would spoil the surprise. He is going to love it! Here's a little sneak ...

Yesterday I met with Hallie and Cliff who are getting married at the end of May in Mountain City. I am not really looking forward to the drive ... but I can't wait for the wedding! This couple is adorable and so much fun!!!!

Last night I photographed the rehearsal for Ashley and Justin's wedding at Dollywood! I couldn't believe the drastic weather change - so beautiful yesterday to totally wet and icky today. Regardless the wedding was still perfect! I can't wait to show you more of these images.

So yeah ... check back all week for these posts and probably more!
